About Me
It's nice to meet you!
Let me take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Emy Monday. I am a licensed psychologist based in Rockaway, New Jersey, though I work virtually with clients from all over the country. I work with adults, children, adolescents, parents, and families in therapy. While I enjoy working with individuals from all walks of life, I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults. I find that this is a very challenging time of transition and change for teens and families alike and that is where I do my best magic!

Both inside and outside of therapy I believe in the importance of creating balance in one's life. It is essential to create time and space for all aspects of yourself! Outside of my practice, most of my time is spent with family and friends enjoying local restaurants, cooking, baking, hiking, and hanging out at home with my cat, Fuzz Lightyear (yes, that's really his name--I also love puns). I enjoy reading (mostly thrillers, mysteries, and fantasy romance), finding live music, and watching movies. My favorite way to de-stress is to go for a drive and blast some great music. I love to laugh, and I can almost guarantee that sometime throughout our work, we'll be laughing together!

Education & Training
I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Drew University, a small liberal arts school in Madison, New Jersey. I then went on to earn my Master's degree and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Marywood University, in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

I completed my doctoral internship at Broughton Hospital in Morganton, North Carolina, where I worked with adults and adolescents in an inpatient hospital. I opened a small private practice in Asheville, North Carolina and built a beautiful business there over the course of 5 years before returning to New Jersey to be nearer to family.
I am currently a licensed psychologist in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina and am proud to offer telehealth through APA's psypact to clients all over the country.
Check out the other states that I am licensed to provide telehealth in by clicking here.
I have extensive experience providing psychotherapy and assessment in community mental health settings, college counseling centers, outpatient hospitals, inpatient hospitals and other private practices, and I would be thrilled to have the opportunity to work with you.
