Executive Making a Phone Call

Executives & Professionals

People often ask the question, "Does there have to be something wrong with me for me to go to therapy?"  The answer is NO!  Life is stressful, and it is especially stressful when you work a high power and high pressure job.  We live in a society that frequently tells us that we should deal with our problems on our own; but the research is very clear.  Seeking professional support tremendously improves our mental and emotional well being, our physical health, and the health of our relationships.  I work with many executives, surgeons, litigators, and other professionals who struggle to balance the pressures that their job puts on them and find meaning and enjoyment in life.  The demands of high stakes roles are extremely unique, and it can be challenging to feel understood.  Many clients find me after being told to "just quit" an intense work environment.  You have worked hard your whole life, and I promise you that balance, peace, and enjoyment is possible.

High Pressure Environments

Working a high stakes job, while prestigious and exciting, can wreak havoc on both your internal and external well being.  The impact of this type of lifestyle can seem incredibly far reaching.  You not only face internal feelings of perfectionism, anxiety, fear of failure, and stress, but your relationships are effected by the demands of your work.  It can feel extremely lonely and hard to balance, like you're on an island alone.   Together, we can work towards setting and maintaining healthy boundaries with yourself and others, while still finding a clear path to succeed in the job you have worked so hard for.  Balance is essential to your overall success, and I am honored to work with clients to achieve exactly that.
